ACCompete - Accord Computer Science Competition

ACCompete is Accord Institute's Computer Science Competition among AMSP© students as a part of AMSP© program. It is composed of four contests throughout the year. Students compete individually in the tests. The average of top four AMSP© students in a school determines the score of the school.

This year, the deadlines of the contests are as follows:

  • Test 1: December 5, 2008
  • Test 2: February 6, 2009
  • Test 3: March 20, 2009
  • Test 4: May 1, 2009
Each test contains 10 questions aligned with AMSP© computer curriculum. One point is awarded for each correct answer.

Top 3 students and their AMSP Computer Science Coaches will be awarded. Student awards are:
  • 1st place:  Pocket PC
  • 2nd place: Digital camera
  • 3rd place: MP3 player
Teachers will be awarded with gift cards:
  • 1st place: $200
  • 2nd place: $150
  • 3rd place: $100

Contest #1 Results

First contest of Accord Institute's Computer Science Competition for 6th graders (ACCompete) is resulted with the success of Paragon Science Academy and Magnolia Science Academy-1. Marty Rhey (Paragon) got the first place followed by Timothy Portillo (MSA-1).

Congratulations to Marty Rhey from Paragon Science Academy for becoming the overall winner of the contest #1 (even including the 7th and 8th graders). Top students that have score >= 5 (out of 10) are as follows:
